ORIENT PRACTITIONERS AS THEY NAVIGATE THE LOCAL OFFER

Service Landscape

The Service Landscape enables citizens to navigate local services from across the public, voluntary, and community sector.

When to use

Use this pattern when there are a number of services on offer.

Impact

  • Collate all of the services in the borough in one place

  • Equip citizens with information so they can be self reliant and choose what is most suitable to them

  • Enable citizens to find support from various services, which balances capacities and reduces pressure from sought-after services

How to use

Collate information from across the public, voluntary, and community sector. Use platforms like Google Docs and Typeform to collect information in a structured and consistent way.

Set parameters for including services in the list.

Use filters to help users navigate the services.

Provide comprehensive information about the services: what it does, who is it for, where to find it, how to contact it, etc.

Provide short videos of services if possible, for users to understand the services better.

Keep it up to date by setting up a method to gather new information of services and reviewing the list regularly.

Use this template -coming soon- to collate service information.

Examples

Community Solutions is using the Service Landscape to provide safeguarding teams in schools with a list of services for children, young people and families.
